  1. "The Hotel" refers to The Spa Hotel, Saltburn Bank, Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Cleveland. TS12 1HH.
    "The Event" refers to ANY function, including wedding receptions, booked with the hotel.
    "The Customer" refers to ANY person(s) having booked ANY event with the hotel.
     
  2. The standard payment terms are as follows:
    • Within seven days of placing a provisional booking, written confirmation along with a non-refundable booking deposit of £200.00 (for wedding receptions) or £100.00 (for all other functions) must be received by the hotel in order to confirm the booking. The hotel reserves the right to cancel any provisional booking not confirmed within the seven day period. Should the date of your event need changing, the deposit will also be transferred to the new date, however, should the event be cancelled, all deposits are non-refundable (see section 3 below).
    • All events must be paid for in full fourteen days prior to the date of the event. The hotel reserves the right to cancel any event not paid in full within 24 hours of the event.
    • If any additional sums are incurred during the event, these monies must be paid in full within seven days of the event.
    • The standard credit terms for the hotel are fourteen days with interest being applied at the rate of 5% per day to all accounts which remain in arrears, however, the hotel does not offer credit facilities to private events.
    • V. A. T. is included in all published prices at the current rate.
       
  3. The cancellation policy for all cancelled events is as follows:
    • More than 16 weeks prior to the event - Loss of deposit only
    • Less than 16 weeks but more than 12 weeks prior to the event - Loss of deposit + 25% of estimated bill
    • Less than 12 weeks but more than 8 weeks prior to the event - Loss of deposit + 50% of estimated bill
    • Less than 8 weeks but more than 4 weeks prior to the event - Loss of deposit + 75% of estimated bill
    • Less than 4 weeks prior to the event - Loss of deposit + 100% of estimated bill
       
  4. The customer must notify the hotel a minimum of 30 days prior to the event with details of the final numbers. The hotel will then issue the customer with a final invoice for payment in full 14 days prior to the event. Should the numbers attending the event on the day be greater than those specified on the final invoice, additional charges will be made by the hotel. Should the numbers attending the event on the day be less than 80% of those specified on the final invoice, a room hire charge will be made by the hotel.
     
  5. The hotel reserves the right to charge for all accommodation booked in conjunction with the event whether taken or not.
     
  6. The customer will indemnify the hotel for all loss or damage caused to the hotel, contents, guests or staff.
     
  7. The hotel will not be held responsible for loss, theft or damage to any property in either vehicles, the hotel or its bedrooms, unless items have been deposited with the hotel for safe keeping.
     
  8. The hotel will not be liable for failure to provide any facility in the event of being prevented from doing so due to causes outside the hotels control. These causes include (but are not limited to) Fire, Flood, Storm, Riot, Industrial Action or Acts of God.
     
  9. All events must terminate at the agreed time, observing any official regulations including current licensing laws.
     
  10. The customer and all guests attending the event on the day must adhere to every requirement of all the statutory authorities. These include (but are not limited to) Fire, Police, Health & Safety and Environmental Health. In addition, the rights of the Performing Rights Society are not infringed. The customer will reimburse the hotel for any loss or damage incurred as a result of non compliance with these regulations.
     
  11. The customer, and any guests attending the event on the day, must not bring into the hotel any electrical equipment without prior authorisation from the hotel. The customer will reimburse the hotel for any loss or damage incurred as a result.
     
  12. Any complaint relating to the event must be received by the hotel no later than seven days following the event.
     
  13. The hotel will not be held responsible for failure to obtain any items of food or drink which have become discontinued or are out of season or supply.
     
  14. Any variation to these terms and conditions must be agreed in writing as no other confirmation will be recognised.
     
  15. The hotel reserves the right to alter any published prices without prior notice. Any increase or decrease in duty will be automatically applied to all published prices.
     
  16. The hotel reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions without prior notice.
     
  17. All details are correct at the time of printing.
